POPIA Compliance

1. Our commitment
GearHub Direct processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This page explains how we meet each of the eight conditions for lawful processing.
2. Accountability
GearHub Direct is the responsible party. Our Information Officer can be reached at info@gearhubdirect.co.za and is accountable for compliance across the platform, our staff and our operators.
3. Processing limitation
We collect the minimum information needed to operate your partner account and pay you. Processing is based on your consent given at registration and on the performance of our agreement with you. You may withdraw consent at any time, although this will end your ability to trade on the platform.
4. Purpose specification and further processing
Information is collected for account creation, order fulfilment, earnings calculation, payouts, fraud prevention and legal compliance. We do not use your information for any incompatible further purpose without obtaining fresh consent.
5. Information quality
You can view and correct your personal and banking details at any time from your dashboard. Please keep them accurate — payouts are made strictly to the account recorded on your profile.
6. Openness
This page, together with our Privacy Policy, forms our POPIA notification. Material changes will be communicated by email and reflected in the last-updated date above.
7. Security safeguards
We apply encryption in transit, access control, role-based administrative permissions, database row-level security and audit logging. Where a data breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as soon as reasonably possible.
8. Data subject participation
You have the right to know whether we hold your information, to receive a copy, to request correction or deletion, and to object to processing. Send requests to info@gearhubdirect.co.za; we respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at enquiries@inforegulator.org.za.
9. Cross-border transfers
Some infrastructure providers process data outside South Africa. Where this occurs we ensure the recipient is subject to laws or binding agreements providing an adequate level of protection comparable to POPIA.
