1. Who we are
GearHub Direct is the responsible party for the personal information processed through this platform. You can reach us at info@gearhubdirect.co.za for any privacy matter.
2. What we collect
Identity and contact data: first name, surname, email address, mobile number and home address. Banking data: account holder name, bank, account number, account type and branch code, used solely to pay you. Store data: your store display name and any logo you upload. Technical data: device, browser and usage information collected when you use the platform.
3. Why we process it
To create and operate your partner account, to calculate and pay your earnings, to dispatch orders to your customers, to provide support, to prevent fraud, and to meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
4. Who we share it with
Courier partners receive only the delivery information needed to fulfil an order. Payment and banking providers receive the details needed to process your payout. Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers process data on our behalf under contract. Regulators and law enforcement receive information only where legally required.
5. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems. Banking details are visible only to you and to authorised GearHub Direct administrators processing payouts. Passwords are stored as irreversible hashes and are never visible to our staff.
6. Retention
We keep account and transaction records for at least five years after your account closes, as required by South African tax and financial record-keeping law. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent.
7. Your rights
You may request access to your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@gearhubdirect.co.za. 8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences, plus limited analytics to understand how the platform is used. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, although essential cookies are required for the dashboard to function.
